NEWS FLASH [Bear with us here, we rarely get to break news.]
Due to Wednesday’s nasty storms that rolled through the Chesapeake Bay region, the opening of the Yacht Show at National Harbor will be delayed until Friday, June 6 at 11 a.m. (The Yacht Show people apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and ask that you call (410) 268-8828 with any questions.)
The Show runs this weekend now from June 6 through 8 and features the big girls of recreational boating fun. Forty boat brands will be there for your drooling enjoyment.
Check out the tents and other venues for an abundance of accessories, equipment, services, interior design, and more. Annapolis School of Seamanship’s free seminars on Friday and Saturday feature AIS, DSC, tenders and such, guidelines for buying a boat (hint, hint), and legal issues and the liquid lifestyle.
After you find the boat and gear of your dreams, tour historic Alexandria, VA by land or sea. Each day, the Yacht Show runs $16 for regular admission and $40 for VIPs. yachtshownh.com
