Skipjack Race and Festival at Deal Island
The Labor Day holiday weekend is upon us and there are a boatload of
activities along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. Throughout the week,
floatline will review upcoming Labor Day special events.
The Deal Island-Chance Lion's Club sponsors and hosts the 48th annual Skipjack Race and Land Festival September 2 and 3. In addition to PHRF and Skipjack races, the events features arts and crafts, food, games, a parade and car show, kayak and swimming races, music and dancing, crab pot tossing and boat docking contests, a raffle, and a fishing tournament.
